Cafe Coffee Day being a Global brand, i am still unable to believe that Mr. V.G.Siddhartha committed suicide because of financial crisis. Death is a Natural phenomenon. What shocks is the suicide and the reason for the suicide.
I could not believe it because any normal Cafe Coffee Day shop would just like that sell Coffee like Hot cakes. How come Mr. V.G.Siddhartha had debts and financial crisis is a question mark? What was the pressure from Income Tax department is the question mark? Many questions are popping up when you look at his Death.
When you look at his suicide, you truly feel this is not the end which he deserved for what he has Created over the years. At this point of time, i express my Heartfelt condolences to Cafe Coffee day as a Customer.
Today's generation know Cafe Coffee day only as Coffee shop. But they do not know about the Cafe Coffee Day Fresh 'n' Ground. It is through Cafe Coffee Day Fresh 'n' Ground, Coffee Day created the Trust for Quality Coffee beans and powders at Homes where Coffees are prepared. Our Family for more than 23 years have been making Coffee out of Cafe Coffee Day Fresh 'n' Ground. We regularly buy Coffee powders there. Coffee Day stood out from the crowd through their Quality Coffee beans and powders.
When Cafe Coffee Day coffee shop was opened, there was a lot of debate over the pricing for Coffee. I remember during its beginning stages, a cup of Coffee was priced at Rs. 50/- which was considered as very costly at that point of time...There was a lot of debate on the pricing... Even today, the pricing is debated among people. But as a Cafe Coffee day customer, this is what i want to say...Coffee is about two things...One is about the Coffee bean...The other is about the preparation...Third comes the ambience...Cafe Coffee day coffees are prepared with Quality coffee beans which is the reason why the price looks different as compared to coffees which you get locally. One can sense the difference in the taste. Cafe Coffee Day coffees truly elevates your senses to a whole new level.
My First visit to Cafe Coffee Day shop was in 2006 with my Friend. It was at Ispahani Center, Nungambakkam. Although i was not a regular visitor of Cafe Coffee Day, it is from 2012 i became a regular customer. I was a bachelor that time and i was working in Hyderabad. It is from 2012 i started exploring their menu.
The word "CAPUCCINO" became popular because of Coffee day in India.
As for as Hot Coffees are concerned, Cappuccino is my pick.
As for as Cold Coffees are concerned, Kaapi Nirvana is my pick.
Cafe Coffee Day Hot Gourmet Cocoa (Hot Chocolate) stands Third Best next to McDonald's Premium Double Shot Hot Chocolate and Starbucks Hot chocolate.
Cafe Coffee Day Cool Blue is my pick in cold beverages.
As for as Pastries are concerned, Pure Indulgence Pastry is my pick. It is one of the Unique Pastries which i have tasted in Cafe Coffee Day. The Pastry has been designed keeping Malabar Giant Squirrel in mind which visits Cafe Coffee day plantations. The pastry has been designed to Honour the Malabar Giant Squirrel. The look and Colour of the Cake looks quite similar to a Malabar Squirrel.
Cafe Coffee Day "Banana Crisps" is my pick in their Chips/Snacks varieties. Very Spicy. That's indeed required for Banana chips (In Tamil we call it as, Vazhakka Chips)
Cafe Coffee day has been very innovative in their menu. They don't maintain the same menu for a long time. They update themselves from time to time.
Cafe Coffee day have 3 concepts as for as their Coffee shops are concerned.
1. Cafe Coffee day 2. Cafe Coffee day Lounge 3. Cafe Coffee day SQUARE
In each of these concepts, their menus are different.
1. Cafe Coffee day:
The Menu is limited as compared to "Lounge" and "Square". In this concept, you get the usual menus of coffee day. The payment and billing is Prepaid.
2. Cafe Coffee day Lounge:
Lounge is like a Restaurant. You can order the food or beverage that you want from your seat.
The Menu is different from the usual Cafe Coffee day. The Payment and billing is postpaid.
3. Cafe Coffee day Square:
The Number of Square restaurants are quite less as compared to Lounge and Cafe Coffee day. But i have to say, it is the Best in their concept especially if you are a Coffee Lover.
The Menu is completely different. You can come across many diverse varieties of Cappuccinos in Square where each Capcuccino is based on a Premium Quality Coffee bean. You can select the bean/coffee variety which you wish for. The Payment and billing is postpaid.
Cafe Coffee day serves, 1.8 billion cups of coffee annually. There are totally 1843 outlets of Cafe Coffee day across the 28 states of India. Cafe Coffee day have their presence internationally in Austria, Czech Republic, Egypt and Nepal. It is quite common to see Cafe Coffee day outlets in shopping malls and Highways.
Coffee day has been a destination for Families, school students, college students, Tourists, start up owners, small business owners to big business owners, Team meet ups, Buddies gathering, consultants and Lovers meet up etc.
