A Well Made Super Hero movie on a Moderate budget!!! Interesting, Engaging and Entertaining!!! A Super Hero movie that can be enjoyed with Family!!!
Inspired by Super Hero movies and novels Michael(Vinay) is obsessed with the thought of becoming a Super Hero. He kills his parents in his childhood when they confront him that he can never be a Superhero as those are ideas from movies & novels and not a reality. Years pass...Michael is now a Super Hero in Mumbai. With the help of his Friend and Scientist Siri(Vennela Kishore), Michael uses technology to be a Super Hero like Batman. However he craves to be a Super Hero with Super Powers. Selfish and Evil, Michael looks for ways and means to be a Super Hero with superpowers.
A Village called Anjanadri. Anjanadri village is dominated and suppressed by Poligar Gajapathy(Raj Deepak Shetty) who implements unfair taxes to people. Those who question or rebel against Gajapathy are called for a wrestling match where they have to win Gajapathy's men or Gajapathy. Strong men of Gajapathy either injure or kill those who come for the wrestling match. Whole village is suppressed and silenced by Gajapathy.
Hanumanthu(Teja Sajja) is an innocent villager who is a petty thief in Anjanandri. He lives with his sister(Varalakshmi Sarathkumar) and grandma. From his childhood, Hanumanthu has been loving Meenakshi(Amritha Aiyer) who is daughter of a Teacher from the village. There is a connection between gulel, marble, Meenakshi and Hanumanthu. When Meenakshi questions Poligar Gajapathy, he secretly sends men to finish her. Hanumanthu who tries to save her through gulel is attacked by those men who deeply injures him. Hanumanthu falls in the ocean.
In the deep sea, Hanumanthu gets hold of Rudhramani, a mysterious Gemstone that has Super Powers. Rudhramani belongs to Lord Hanuman from Treta Yuga.
From Sunrise until sunset Rudhramani is Active and Powerful. Post sunset the gem loses its power. After discovering the Powers of the gemstone, Hanumanthu defeats Polygar Gajapathy. He becomes talk of the town. Understanding that it is Hanumanthu who saved her, Meenakshi starts loving Hanumanthu..Both of them love each other.
Michael who comes across a video of Hanumanthu in the internet understands that Hanumanthu has superpowers. In the guise of developing Anjanadri Michael steps inside the village. His moto is to discover the secret behind the Supernatural powers of Hanumanthu and acquire it. Michael is ready to go to any extent to acquire the power which includes even eliminating the people of Anjanadri. At a point of time, Hanumanthu loses his sister. Out of Frustration he throws away Rudhramani. When Michael targets Anjanadri, Hanumanthu is in a situation to save Anjanadri from Michael. Vibishana, brother of Ravana who joined Rama sena in Treta yuga (Samuthirakani) helps Hanumanthu as a sage.. Did Hanumanthu save Anjanandri? what happened to Rudhramani? Who blesses Hanumanthu in the end? What is the Future? That's Hanuman.
The way the story and the screenplay unfolds is interesting, Engaging and Entertaining!!!
There was a sense of Creative Logic in Hanuman which is its Big plus. Blending Creative Logic and Mythological elements Director Prashanth Varma has given an Entertaining Super Hero movie.
Good performance from Teja Sajja.
As an innocent villager and as a man with superpowers Teja Sajja has performed well.
Ravi Teja's voice over for the monkey adds value to Hanuman.
As Michael, Vinay has performed well as a baddie. One of his Best Performances.
Brother-Sister Bonding between Teja Sajja and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar was good. Varalakshmi Sarathkumar has performed well.
As a girl who stands against Poligar Gajapathy, As a girl who creates awareness and educates people of Anjanadri and as someone who loves Hanumanthu knowingly and unknowingly...Amirtha Aiyer has performed well. Love between Teja Sajja and Amirtha Aiyer was Cute.
Rather than carrying a serious tone althrough Hanuman goes in an Entertaining and Light Hearted note in its flow. Comedy has worked out well.
Although a small role, Samuthirakani as Vibhishana has performed well.
Raj Deepak shetty has performed well as Poligar Gajapathy.
Getup srinu, Sathya and Vennela Kishore have performed their roles well. More than comedy it was more of a supporting role for Vennela Kishore
All the characters have been utilised effectively.
Production design was Impressive.
Background score was Good.
Cinematography was Impressive.
Editing was Impressive.
Visual effects were good at many places.
Stunts have been made well according to story.
Minus:
1. Visual effects could have been better.
2. Michael kills his parents in his childhood. How did he become a Corporate Monster? What is his background story? It wasn't explained.
3. How did Hanumanthu create a magnifying glass that's as similar as Rudhramani. A Question arises
4. Gajapathy is not a good man..Why does Hanumanthu asks Gajapathy to contest in election for presidential post? A Question arises.
Overall, an Engaging and Entertaining Super Hero movie that can be enjoyed with Family!!!
