Aghathiyaa addresses about the importance of Ancient Siddha Medicine. A Mild Horror Mystery that can be watched with Family, especially kids.

Target Audience: Children and Family audience 

Aghathiyaa(Jeeva), an Art Director converts a Bungalow to a Scary House. As he explores the bungalow he comes across a reel which belongs to Dr. Siddharthan(Arjun) who lived in 1940. Dr. Siddharthan cures paralysis and he also creates a medicine for curing cancer. Aghathiyaa discovers that cancer is curable and he starts to believe that Dr. Siddharthan has the medicine for it. To save his Mother(Rohini) who is dying of cancer slowly, Aghathiyaa searches for the medicine which was created by Dr. Siddharthan in 1940 in the bungalow. He has to Fight with the Evil spirit of Edwin Duplex (Edward Sonnenblick) who is trying to stop Aghathiyaa from getting it. What is the connection between Dr. Siddharthan, Aghathiyaa and Edwin Duplex? That's Aghathiyaa.

Plus: 

1. Aghathiyaa addresses about Siddhars and the Importance of Ancient Siddha Medicine

2. Story happens in the present and in 1940. Production Design/Setwork is Impressive.

3. VFX is Good... For example, astrological alignment of planets has been depicted well. VFX in climax was Good. 

4.  Background score was Okayish.

5. Actor Arjun has been given Good space and scope to perform in Aghathiyaa. As a Siddha Doctor, Arjun has performed well as Siddharthan 

6. Edward Sonnenblick has performed well as Edwin Duplex

7. Radha Ravi has done his part well. 

8.Matylda has performed her part well as Jacqueline Poovizhi 

9. As a cancer survivor, Rohini has performed her role well.

10. Although there isn't much scope to perform, Jeeva and Raashi Khanna have performed their roles well.

11. End credits addresses about the Ancient  Siddhars. 

12. Cinematography was Good

Minus:

1. There are no Spine chilling moments. Not scary

2. Comedy didn't workout that much

3. Story and Screenplay was a bit predictable

4. There wasn't much Newness in Yuvan's music 

Overall, A Mild Horror movie that can be watched with Family, especially kids.
