The beginning
Khansaar was once a land of Dacoits. The land was ruled by three tribes... Mannars, Shourayangaas and Ganiyaars. In 1947, Khansaar becomes an independent territory.. Khansaar is not part of India. Rather, it becomes an independent territory with it's own constitution signing a pact with India. Land of Khansaar is divided into 101 parts...Each part is assigned a Head called as Kapus...Above these Kapus are Doras...These Doras are under the Leadership of King...
Constitution of Khansaar was formed by Siva Mannar...Siva Mannar ruled Khansaar for many years...After his period, Dhaara, the head of the shouryanga tribe was suppose to be the Next king of Khansaar....Desiring for Throne, Siva Mannar son Raja Mannar(Jagapathi Babu) kills Dhaara and massacres the tribe of Shouryanga... Knowing the consequences of his actions, Raja Mannar silences Ganiyars by giving them powers...
Raja Mannar has two wives... He has a son and a daughter from his First wife...Rudra Mannar and Radha Rama...He has two sons from his second wife...Varadharaja Mannar and Baachi Mannar...
Deva is close friend of Varadharaja Mannar in his childhood...
Deva saves Varadha's pride when his step brother pulls the nose ring from him and asks him to take it back after hitting a wrestler....Knowing that Varadha has been insulted, Deva comes to save his pride.... Deva has an Audacious Attitude and he is Brave....When his opponent is Big, Deva doesn't care about it....He faces them with an Audacious attitude...He beats the wrestler and gets back the ring to Varadha...
Upon order when Raja Mannar's men attempt to Rape and kill Deva's Mother, Varadha comes there to save Deva and his Mother...Varadha gives his territory to the man who came with his men to save Deva and his Mother. Before leaving the land, Deva Promises Varadha that he will come back when Varadha calls him back.
2017
Rescue of Aadhya
Aadhya(Shruthi Haasan) is daughter of Krishnakanth(Ravi Bhat), a business magnate. Krishnakanth comes to know that there is a threat for his daughter's life if she arrives India because of an incident that happened in Khansaar...He approaches Bilal (Mime Gopi) to save her...Krishnakanth approaches Bilal because the only person who can save Aadhya is Deva who lives in a remote village ..Bilal leaves Aadhya in a village where Deva and his Mother(Easwari Rao) stays. Rivals of Krishnakanth trace Aadhya and come to the village. She is saved by Deva. Seeing that his son has a threat to his life, Deva's Mother leave the village with Deva leaving Aadhya... Aadhya is taken by the rivals....
A Convoy that has a seal of Khansaar leaves from India that is lead by Rhinda(Ramana)....Aadhya is kidnapped in it...Deva with his Artillery saves Aadhya...
Radha Ramana(Sriya Reddy) who witnesses it remotely is being Happy about it because this would make Deva and Varadharaja Mannar to face off each other as there is a rule pertaining to the interference of Khansaar seal...Radha Ramana has strategised this Face off....
Who is searching for Aadhya? why? Was Aadhya saved?
2010
Varadha calls back Deva...
Ceasefire and Voting...
Bharavaa (Bobby Simha)son in law of Raja Mannar requests him to have a reconcilation with Varadharaja Mannar as he was punished for giving away a Big Territory in 1985. Raja Mannar expresses his desire to make Varadharaja Mannar as a Dora. He orders Ranga(John Vijay), a Dora from Ganiyar to sacrifice his position for Varadha. Raja Mannar on an urgent matter leaves Khansaar.
Bharavaa starts to ploy against the kingdom once Raja Mannar leaves Khansaar. He plans a coup joining his hands with Ranga and others. Varadha is now in a complex situation. Except his Father, other family members are against him. Ranga and other Doras are against him. There is a ploy to Dethrone the empire. Varadha approaches Deva and calls him back to Khansaar.
Knowing that there is a coup, Radha Rama (Sriya Reddy) who acts in King's position now orders Ceasefire which is according to the constitution of Khansaar...After 10 days, voting will take place to either revoke Ceasefire or to impose it based on the Voting by those who hold powers.
Varadha from his childhood has been facing humiliation from his Family members simply because he is son of second wife... Ranga doesn't want Varadha to become Dora as he has been addicted to his position as Dora... Varadha has a Threat from Ranga and those who are against Raja Mannar...
Deva comes back to Khansaar...
What happens in Khansaar after Deva's arrival? Did Deva protect Varadha? What happened on the voting day? Why Bharava is against the kingdom? Who is Deva? Was Ceasefire revoked or imposed? That's Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire.

Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, John Vijay, Ramachandra Raju, Easwari Rao, Tinnu Anand, Pramod Panju, Mime Gopi, Devaraj, Ramana, Shafi, Brahmaji, Madhu Guruswamy ,Vajrang Shetty and others have performed their roles well!!!
Background score of Ravi Basrur is a Key Strength for SALAAR!!!
Bhuvan Gowda Cinematography is Impressive!!!
Production Design is impressive!!!
Minus: Not much is revealed in the story which is both plus and minus for Salaar...For example why Aadhya is being targeted? what makes a strong bond and friendship between Deva and Varadha? Since not much is revealed in the story Part 1 looks like just a build up for Deva.
Overall, An Engaging Action Entertainer that ends with a continuation towards its Sequel!!!
