Menon(Mohan) a terrorist loses his Family when MS Gandhi(Vijay) along with his Team from Special Anti Terrorism Squad(SATS) retrieve a stolen uranium from Menon in Kenya. To revenge Gandhi, Menon kidnaps Gandhi's son Jeevan and then later adopts him only to turn him against Gandhi. After many years Jeevan(Vijay) meets Gandhi at Moscow. Wearing the affection mask Jeevan deceives Gandhi and comes to Chennai with an hidden Agenda. Why does Jeevan come to Chennai? Did Gandhi find out the True colour of Jeevan? Did Gandhi save Chennai? That's GOAT

Plus: 

1. De-Aging has worked out well

2. Gandhi is Cool, playful and Matured. Jeevan is Aggresive and terrorful.  There is a scene where Gandhi cries when he comes to know that his son is dead. Vijay's performance was emotionally Impactful in the scene. Also when he goes to Anu (sneha) to convey that his son is dead, his performance was emotionally impactful. Gandhi also scores in comedy. After Priyamudan movie, a negative shade for Vijay in GOAT as Jeevan. As Gandhi and As Jeevan Vijay's performance is Impressive and Terrific.

3. AI Cameo of Captain Vijayakanth adds entertainment value to the Film.

4. special appearance of Trisha in Matta song and Cameo of Sivakarthikeyan in the climax sequence adds entertainment value to the Film.

5. Yuvan Shankar Raja's Music and Background score is a Big plus for GOAT. Chinna Chinna Kangal, Whistle podu, Matta and Spark songs are good. 

6. Action sequences have been made well 

7.Despite the 3 Hour running time GOAT was engaging althrough. Screenplay is engaging with Twists and Turns 

8. Prashanth, Prabhudeva, Ajmal and Jayaram have performed their roles well. 

9. Sneha,Meenakshi Chaudhary and Laila have done their part well

10. Cinematography of Siddhartha Nuni is Impressive 

11. Editing of Venkat Raajen is Impressive.

12. Mankatha's background score in the climax adds entertainment value. 

13. MS Dhoni's appearance and reference of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) adds entertainment value. 

14. Yogi Babu has been utilised well for the plot although his portion is limited. 

15. As a Villain, Mohan has performed his role well. 

16.  All the characters have been utilised well for the plot.

17. Whistle podu and Matta songs have been choreographed well. 

Minus: 

1. GOAT could be a violent movie for kids 

2. In some scenes Visual effects could have been better. For example, in the opening scene Prashanth comes in Helicopter. VFX was shoddy in that scene. 

3. Climax sequence reminded of Final score  movie . 

4. Although plots are different, GOAT reminded of Captain Vijayakanth's Rajadurai movie that was directed by Vijay's Father S.A. Chandrasekhar

5. Spark song wasn't placed well.

6. Screenplay was little bit predictable  in the second half although there were many Twists and Turns in the Screenplay.

7. Premgi could have been utilised in a better way adding more fun elements. 

Overall, an Engaging Action Entertainer from Venkat Prabhu!!!
