Review

A Beautiful Romance Drama!!!

Three couples....Three Love stories...Three different relationship problems

What is different about Irugapatru is Director has addressed the relationship problems of middle age people.

Root cause for the problems and their solutions has been addressed well in the screenplay.

Arjun (Sree) is married to Divya (Saniya Iyappan). Arjun and Divya love each other and get married. Arjun now is no longer  experiencing the Love which he had in the past with Divya. He feels that Love has diminished in their relationship. Divya doesn't respond to Arjun properly. There is no proper interaction between the couple. Arjun approaches Mithra Manohar, a relationship counsellor to sort it out. After interacting with both Arjun and Divya, Mithra understands the problem in Arjun-Divya relationship.

Arjun is unappreciative and scoffs divya frequently. This has diminished their love relationship. Mithra suggests few methods to both Arjun and Divya to come out of this situation. However after somepoint of time Arjun repeats his behaviour. Through Mithra, Arjun understands the reason for his behaviour.... He is unappreciative and is scoffing divya because somewhere deep down he feels that Divya is smarter than him... To outsmart her, he becomes unappreciative and scoffs her. Arjun understands the root cause for his problem and he goes to Divya to have a reconcilation...But unexpectedly, Divya no longer can tolerate this relationship as she feels it to be toxic...Divya asks for Divorce to Arjun...what happens after that?

Through Arjun and Divya story, Director Yuvaraj Dayalan addresses about scoffing and unappreciative behaviour that can make a relationship toxic.

Rangesh (Vidharth) is married to Pavithra (Abarnathi). He wants divorce as Pavithra has put on weight after her delivery. She goes for gym workouts...However she is not so sincere in her workouts and she is a foodie...Rangesh is unhappy and seeks for a divorce...Pavithra approaches Mithra... Listening to both Rangesh and Pavithra, Mithra asks Pavithra to put efforts for weight reduction and also asks her to nod her head for divorce...Court gives six months time for both Rangesh and Pavithra....At a point of time, Rangesh loses his job and he gets a sanctioned loan for his start up...Did Pavithra lose weight? Why Rangesh wants a divorce from Pavithra? What is the root cause for his behavior? Did Rangesh divorce Pavithra?

Through Rangesh and Pavithra story, Director Yuvaraj Dayalan addresses about post delivery problems that arises at Home....Addresses the importance of weight reduction... Addresses the mental state of many middle class men who don't get what they want in their life from their childhood which leads to a unhappy mental state of mind...

Mithra is a relationship counsellor...Mithra is married to Manohar...Mithra is so conscious about her love life...She doesn't want a quarrel or fight in her love life as she feels that it would affect her relationship counsellor image...She is theoritical and methodical in her Love relationship....Her husband Manohar isn't like her...However he follows the methods and theories of Pavithra as he loves her.....At a point of time, Mithra surprises Manohar with Gifts, Dinner, Surprise vacation and so many things....Manohar is Happy about it...He gets a Heartbreak when he comes to know that Mithra gave these things as she is following the reminders and notifications of a relationship App which is yet to hit the market....Mithra did these things to maintain the relationship which upsets Manohar...Manohar starts to think that Mithra is doing these things for her Relationship counsellor image and not out of true love...Somewhere Manohar starts to think that Mithra is acting...Not truly loving.... This creates problems in their relationship.... Whereas in reality Mithra loves Manohar....A Gap arises in their relationship...Was it sorted out? That's Irugapatru.

Through Mithra and Manohar story, Director addresses about the image consciousness of relationship counsellors and how it can affect their love life...The point is, a relationship counsellor may have their own theories and methods to sort out relationship problems...But bringing it to home can affect their love life.... Mithra is so conscious about not bringing an argument or not allowing Manohar to bring up a quarrel...But she doesn't think from Manohar's angle....Manohar's angle is what is love relationship without a quarrel? Mithra thinks that if a quarrel happens, it would lead to a repeatitive behaviour...But she doesn't understand that it would mature the relationship.... Director Yuvaraj Dayalan addresses the problems that would arise out of Relationship apps.

At the end Director addresses that Love life isn't just about happiness...It is about holding on to the relationship irrespective of the roller coaster rides one faces in relationship...

Shraddha Srinath as Mithra has performed well as a Relationship counsellor.

Vikram Prabhu, Shraddha Srinath, Vidharth, Abarnathy, Sree and Saniya Iyappan have performed well.

Good Direction by Yuvaraj Dayalan.

Good Background sore by Justin Prabhakaran.

Good cinematography by Gokul Benoy.

Good Editing by J.V. Manikanda Balaji.

Dialogues are written well.

A Good movie on a Moderate budget.

Minus:1. Emotional elements could have been much more better or much more elevating...

2. Running time is 2 hours and 33 mins.....Movie goes on it's own pace...However screenplay is engaging....

Overall, a Beautiful Romance Drama!!!
