Meiyazhagan Short Review 

One of the Best Films of 2024. 

Some films are better experienced than explained...Meiyazhagan is one such Film!!! 

A Masterpiece from Director C Premkumar. Meiyazhagan is a Beautiful Film that has to be experienced in Theatres!!!

Arunmozhi Varman(Aravind Swamy) has a bitter past in Tanjore because of his relatives. His Family leaves Tanjore and moves to chennai because of a property issue. After almost 22 years Arunmozhi visits Tanjore again half minded for his cousin sister's wedding. There he meets a man( Karthi) , one of his relative who calls him as Atthan. Conversations between Arunmozhi Varman and the man he meets is Meiyazhagan. 

சொந்தங்களை தவிர்க்கும் அருள்மொழி வர்மனும்(Aravind Swamy) கள்ளம் கபடமில்லா உறவுக்காரன் (Karthi) ஒருவனும் சந்திக்கிறார்கள். கள்ளம் கபடமில்லா உறவுக்காரனின் அன்பில் மூழ்குகிறார்  அருள்மொழி வர்மன். தொலைத்த தன்னை மீட்டெடுக்கிறார். உறவுக்காரனின் அன்பின் முன் தோற்று போகிறார். நல்ல சொந்தத்தினை கண்டு கொண்டு மீண்டும் உறவாடுகிறார். 

அருண்மொழி வர்மனுக்கும் பெயர் சொல்லாத உறவுக்காரனுக்கும் ஒரு நாளில் நடக்கும் உரையாடல்களே மெய்யழகன்.

Meiyazhagan is Nostalgic. 

காளை மாடு- ஜல்லிக்கட்டு  குறித்தும், கரிகால சோழன் குறித்தும், வெண்ணி கோவில் குறித்தும், இலங்கை போர் குறித்தும், தூத்துக்குடி துப்பாக்கி சூடு சம்பவம் குறித்தும் இயக்குனர் சி பிரேம்குமார் பதிவு செய்கிறார். 

உரையாடல்கள் இயல்பாக இருந்தன.

சைக்கிளுக்காக வரும் பிளஷ்பாக் கதைக்கு வலு சேர்த்தது.

Wedding Reception scene where Bhuvana opens the Gift box of Arulmozhi Varman was made well. 

Conversations between Arulmozhi  varman and his relative at Home and Anaikattu has been made well.

Karthi's Home that was shown in the movie was beautiful. 

One of the Career Best Performance of both Aravind Swamy and Karthi. Both of them have performed well excellently.  

Saran Sakthi has performed well as Young Arunmozhi Varman.

Along with Karthi and Aravind Swamy, Jayaprakash, Raj Kiran, Swathi Konde, Sri Divya, Indumathy Manikandan, Devadarshini, Ilavarasu, Karunakaran, Raichel Rebecca and others have performed their roles well. 

Govind Vasantha's songs and Background score is a Big strength and Plus for Meiyazhagan.

Cinematography is Beautiful. 

Movie moves unhurried...Lengthy Film. That's the minus.

Overall a Beautiful Film!!!

உறவை தொலைத்த ஒருவரின் உணர்வை பிரதிபலிக்கும் பாடலாகவும் உறவின் பிரிவை உணர்த்தும் பாடலாகவும்  உள்ளது யாரோ இவன் யாரோ. அருமையாக பாடியுள்ளார் கமலஹாசன். அருமையாக இசையமைத்துள்ளார் கோவிந்த் வசந்தா.
