6 Cargo Trucks containing weapons, especially guns enter Tamilnadu. Headed by Virat (Vidyut Jammwal) and Chirag (Shabeer Kallarakkal) the trucks enter chennai for Illegal gun infiltration. NIA officer Prem (Biju Menon) along with his team tries to seize and stop the trucks. Virat and Chirag escape from Prem and move the Trucks to a Factory in Ambattur. NIA wants to seize and stop the trucks as Gun infiltration would lead to Gun culture that would disturb the peace of Tamilnadu. In the operation, Prem gets injured and gets admitted to a Hospital. Many officers die in the operation.

In the same Hospital Raghu Ram (Sivakarthikeyan) gets admitted for suicide attempt. He makes a suicide attempt for Love failure as his Girl friend Malathi (Rukmini Vasanth) leaves him. Virat and Chirag supply and distribute 100 guns for free to begin infiltration.

A school boy tries to engage in a shoot out. Raghu Ram who comes along with Prem tries to stop the boy from gun firing. But the boy shoots Raghu Ram leaving him injured. Prem checks the background of Raghu. Looking at his stupid audacity for not having fear of life and seeing him as someone who has nothing to lose Prem makes a request to Raghu Ram asking him to go to Ambattur factory to blast it as it contains illegal weapons (guns). The point is to stop it from illegal distribution. Prem wants to keep the operation secretive as he has already lost many officers in his previous operation.

Raghu Ram has Fregoli Delusion disorder. He loses his Family in his childhood in an unexpected Transformer accident. This creates a Trauma and a mental delusion in him. Raghu Ram helps strangers believing them to be his relatives like Father, Mother, Sister, Uncle, Aunt etc because of mental delusion. He medically gets treated for it. Malathi who befriends Raghu Ram later starts to love him for his helping nature. She understands his medical condition and starts to Love him. However, one day an Acid attack happens to a girl at a public place. Raghu Ram doesn't come forward to help the girl. Malathi approaches Doctor and asks him why Raghu Ram didnt' come forward to save the girl. Doctor explains that Raghu Ram has become Normal as Malathi has replaced and filled the empty space which Raghu had in his mind. Raghu Ram lost his family and Malathi has replaced it like a substitute. Knowing that she is the reason for Raghu's behavioural change, Malathi leaves him.

Chirag leaves to a party at a Beach house. Virat stays in the factory. Raghu Ram who enters the factory like a worker stays in the factory after working hours to blast it. However he is spotted by Virat and his men. Knowing this Virat orders his men to take away the trucks from factory and move it to a secret location. In the drunken mode, Virat is intoxicated. Prem brings back Malathi and makes a call to Raghu Ram. Malathi says that she loved Raghu Ram for his helping nature and wants him to continue that nature. In the situation, Prem, Malathi and Chirag enter into a conference call. Chirag threatens Raghu Ram that he will kill Malathi. This angers Raghu Ram who shoots Virat out of Rage. However, Raghu Ram saves Virat and takes him to a Hospital. NIA takes Virat into custody and treats him secretly.

Believing that Virat is dead, to seek revenge on Raghu Ram Chirag kidnaps Malathi. Did Raghu Ram save Malathi from Chirag and Virat? What happened to those trucks? Did NIA stop the syndicate from gun infiltration? That's Madharaasi.

Madharaasi addresses about Gun infiltration, Fregoli delusion disorder and mole spies. An Action movie with a Beautiful Love story!!!

It's a bit complex. Sivakarthikeyan has understood the Fregoli delusion nature of Raghu Ram's character and has performed well. One of the Career Best performances of Sivakarthikeyan!!!

Good Debut for Rukmini Vasanth in Tamil!!!

Vidyut Jammwal and Shabeer Kallarakal have performed their roles well as villains!!! Vidyut was Cool and Stylish!!!

Costume designs were good, especially for Rukmini Vasanth. Her costume designs were simple and elegant.

Cinematography was impressive!!!

Editing was impressive!!!

Anirudh's background score is a Big plus for Madharaasi!!!

Love story was genuine and beautiful. Connected well emotionally.

Raghu Ram's character reminded of Kamal Haasan from Guna. Looks like A.R. Murugadoss was deeply inspired by Guna.

Sivakarthikeyan, Rukmini Vasanth, Vidyut Jammwal, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Biju Menon and Vikranth are key performers.

2. Songs were like a speed breakers to the flow of the movie.

3. Who is Virat? Who is chirag? What is their background? It was not addressed in the movie

4. NIA has been shown as if they are weaker.
