Jack(VTV Ganesh) is stopped by cops on his way to check him for Drunk and Drive. When checked Jack has a box at the back of his car. Cops asks him to open the box..Jack refuses to open it. He starts to narrate the story of Tashiro(Yoshinori Tashiro). 

Shiva(Shiva) along with Jack runs a Surfing club near Kovalam. One day Shiva finds Tashiro near Kovalam Beach shore. Tashiro has the body of a man but has a mind that's  of a child. Shiva names Tashiro as Ganesh. Shiva takes care of Tashiro and at a point of time comes to know that Tashiro is from Japan, a Sumo wrestler. 

A Gang in Japan tries to stop Tashiro. Shiva along with Jack goes to Japan to leave Tashiro. To bring Tashiro back to his old form, he is medically treated. Tashiro comes back to his form and participates in the sumo wrestling championship. Did Tashiro win the Sumo wrestling championship? What's in the box? That's Sumo.

Yoshinori Tashiro is the Heart of Sumo. 

Yoshinori Tashiro has performed well as Ganesh and Tashiro. Cute. 

Sumo wrestling scenes have been made well. They look real. 

VTV Ganesh has done his part well.

Ganapathy and Azhiye songs are good. Background score of Nivas K Prasanna is okayish.

The problem with Sumo is neither comedy works out nor emotions land an impact... Mediocre!!!
