Review

Language: Tamil

Thalaivar Thambi Thalamayil is a Good Village Comedy that has been made on a small budget!!! A simple film that addresses the importance of staying united rather than giving into ego clashes that could lead to feud and riot.

Jeevarathinam(Jeeva) is Panchayat President in a village. He has a Good name and reputation and is respected by the villagers. Jeeva takes responsibility for conducting Ilavarasu(Ilavarasu) daughter (Prathana Nathan) marriage smoothly. Unexpectedly Mani's(Thambi Ramaiah) Father dies. Mani and Ilavarasu are neighbours who have pre-existing enemity between each other. Both of them are egoistic. Ilavarasu wants the marriage to be conducted around 10.30 am in the morning. Mani also wants to conduct the funeral of his father around 10.30 am. Both the parties consider it as a prestige issue. Stuck between Ilavarasu and Mani, Jeevarathinam tries to concile both the parties to sort out things for the welfare of the village. Thavidu(Jenson Divakar) is not much respected as Jeeva in the village. Thavidu who belongs to opposition party wants to politicise things and tries to provoke clash between Ilavarasu and Mani in order to damage the reputation of Jeevarathinam. Did the marriage happen? Did the funeral happen? what happens in the end? That's Thalaivar Thambi Thalamayil

Thalaivar Thambi Thalamayil addresses about the the importance of staying united rather than giving into ego clashes that could lead to feud and riot.

More than comedy, TTT makes you think about the politics of Ruling and Opposition parties. When Jeeva wants to sort out things to avoid feud and riots, Thavidu wants to make use of the situation and tries to provoke both the parties to damage the reputation of Jeeva which leads to riots between both the parties.

TTT addresses about false rumors that spreads like wild fire..As Mark Twain said "A Lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes"..When Sowmya goes missing, Villagers assume that she had eloped with someone where in reality she slips and falls into a pit.

Both Ilavarasu and Mani didn't compromise. Both of them didn't adjust. Both of them were egoistic .Both of them considered their respective events as a prestige issue which ultimately lead to riot and affected their prestige in the end. Director addresses the importance of Compromise and Adjustment considering the importance of welfare, peace and unity.

The water tank in the village gets damaged due to riots that affects the village in the end. Feud and Riots will only disturb the peace of people. It won't bring any good. Director Nitish Sahadev addresses.

Be it small or big, all the characters have been written well. Jeeva, Ilavarasu, Thambi Ramaiah, Jenson Divakar, Subash Kannan, Prathana Nathan, Sarjin Kumar, Surjith Gopinath, Anuraj O.B. and others have performed their roles well.

Background score of Vishnu Vijay is Good.

Cinematography of Bablu Aju is Good.

Movie runs for 113 mins. Arjune Babu's Editing is Good.

There was a sense of Humour althrough the movie.

Minus:

TTT is Humorous. But it's not uproarious.

Overall, Thalaivar Thambi Thalamayil is a Good village comedy that has been made on a small budget!!!
