Director Venky Atluri has touched upon Taboo topics in Vishwanath & Sons...
Sanjay Vishwanath(Suriya), a Pistol Champion and a Business man who is unmarried goes for Surrogacy. His Baby Abhay undergoes a serious health condition where there is a necessity for Bone Marrow Transplant. Abhay requires a Donor. Maddy(Mamitha Baiju), a 22 year old girl is the surrogate Mother. Upon Doctor's advice, Sanjay Vishwanath connects with Maddy and requests her to be a donor for Bone Marrow Transplant. He signs a deal with her..From America, Maddy comes to India for it. Maddy is an orphan. Over a point of time, Maddy falls in Love with Sanjay Vishwanath. Sanjay Vishwanath doesn't want to get married and he resists Maddy's Love because of two things... 1. He has a Childhood Trauma..2. There is a Huge Age Gap between him and Maddy... Did Sanjay Vishwanath change his mind? Did he accept Maddy's Love? That's Vishwanath & Sons.
Plus:
1. Entertaining and Engaging Screenplay...Comedy works out well.
2. The scene where Suriya gives an Interview to TV channel with George Mariyan was Inspiring and Emotional.
3. Radhika's death and the song that comes after that in the second half was emotional
4. Suriya, Mamitha Baiju, Radhika Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Sunil Reddy, Harika, Bhavani Sre, Naaser and others have performed well.
5. Background score of G.V Prakash was Good.
6. Costume designs were impressive
7. Nimish Ravi's cinematography was Impressive
8. Naveen Nooli's Editing was Good.
9. First half was Entertaining and Engaging.
10. Although Venky Atluri has touched upon Taboo subjects, he has presented the Screenplay in a decent way. It was not vulgar.
11. The Love Chemistry between Suriya and Mamitha Baiju was Good, Beautiful and worked out well for this Romantic Drama.
12. Dialogues have been written well.
Minus:
1. Family Audiences may find Vishwanath & Sons uncomfortable, embarrassing and shocking pertaining to the taboo topics that have been addressed in the movie.
2. Second half was like watching a TV serial... Comedy works out well..But doesn't emotionally touch or elevate you or wasn't emotionally impactful except the death scene of Radhika Sarathkumar..
3. Vishwanath & Sons had two fight sequences which was commercial... It could have been avoided...
4. Is Director trying to Normalize Taboo topics that has been addressed in the movie? A Question arises...
Overall, Director Venky Atluri has touched upon Taboo topics in Vishwanath & Sons. An Entertaining and Engaging Romantic Drama!!!
