A Light Hearted Entertaining Romantic Comedy Drama made on a Low budget where the plot revolves around the cross cultural differences that's between a Telugu Family and an Anglo Indian Family.
Story happens in Perambur.
Chirumamilla Sita Krishna (Pari Elavazhagan) is from a Telugu Family and is a Sports coach. Since his college days he is in Love with Magic Diana D'Souza(Ramya Ranganathan) an Anglo Indian. Krishna loves Magic. Magic also Loves Krishna. But she doesn't reciprocate her Love. She limits Krishna just to Friendship. Krishna waits for Magic's acceptance. Magic wants to propose Krishna. But before that she wants to test him. She invites him to parties...Wears modern dresses... Socially drinks... Eats Beef and Pork. Meanwhile Krishna's Mother arranges for an engagement for Krishna with one of his relatives. Krishna's Mother Sarala is a Caste oriented person. She is not someone who supports or accepts intercaste or inter religious marriages. Not understanding that Magic is testing him, Krishna comes to a conclusion that Magic wouldn't suit his family. He asks his mother to arrange for engagement. Engagement happens. Meanwhile Krishna passes the tests of Magic. Magic proposes Krishna. Krishna accepts Magic's Love.
Bangalore Baba (Paridhabangal Gopi) friend of Krishna tells about Krishna's engagement to Magic. Magic moves away from Krishna. Krishna apologizes to Magic and tells her that he will marry her. Krishna doesn't have the courage to express about his Love relationship to his Family as her Mother is a bit strict and caste oriented. There are cultural differences between Krishna's Family and Magic's Family. Understanding the problem of cultural differences, Magic and Krishna decide to learn their cross cultures mutually. what happens after that? That's Anbe Diana.
Comedy works out well in Anbe Diana.
Someone who doesn't have the courage to express his Love relationship to his Family. As Krishna, Pari Elavazhagan has performed well.
Someone who is expressive and bold. As Magic, Ramya Ranganathan has performed well.
A Bangalore kannadiga guy who got settled in Perambur. As Bangalore Baba, Paridhabangal Gopi has performed well. Scores in Comedy & Timing.
A Caste oriented person who later changes her mind. As Sarala, Roja has performed well.
Father of Krishna. Someone who supports Krishna. Spends his time and money with his Friends... Drinks in the evening and does galatta. A Deaf man who has a hearing aid. As Chirumamilla Adinaryana Bhaskar, Chetan has performed well. Scores in Comedy and timing.
After a long time Cell Murugan has appeared on the screen. Scores in his screen space.
Sister of Krishna. Parent of an Autistic child. Someone who leaves his husband and comes to her Home. Wants to Live with her husband separately leaving her Mother-in- law since her Mother-in-law doesn't treat her autistic child properly. As Sathyavathi, Ismath Banu has performed well.
Someone who got engaged to Krishna. Someone who elopes with a guy on her marriage day. As Thanisha, Nikila Shankar has performed well.
Brother of Krishna. Someone who obeys his caste oriented Mother. As Chirumamilla Chiranjeevi Shankar, Sudarshan Gandhy has performed well.
Pari Elavazhagan, Ramya Ranganathan, Paridhabangal Gopi, Roja, Chetan, Cell Murugan, Ismath Banu, Nikila shankar and Sudharshan Gandhy are key performers.
When Sarala says it is a person from my caste gave idea to start a flour shop, Krishna asks her "Are customers who buy flour from your shop belongs to your caste?" That scene has been made and written well.
Bharath Sankar BGM is Good.
Shelley Calist has captured Perambur well. Cinematography was Impressive.
Editing was Good.
Screenplay was Engaging and Entertaining...Good Direction by Pari Elavazhagan.
Minus:
1. Songs are average.
2. Krishna hides about his engagement to Magic. Magic comes to know about it. Any girl would practically go for a break up...How come Magic accepts Krishna? A Question arises...
Krishna slaps Magic's Father in front of others after knowing that he was the one who made his Father Deaf in the past. If such an incident happens in reality, no family would go for reunion or reconciliation. How come Magic and her Family accept Krishna? A Question arises...
Krishna accepts for engagement...Parallely he roams with Magic...What kind of person he is? A Question arises..
